Your Day at Lowe's
As a Receiver/Stocker, you keep our stores clean and presentable to improve customers' overall shopping experience. You ensure our merchandise is accurately received and replenished by safely unloading merchandise from incoming freight, moving it to the sales floor, and stocking shelves.
This role is physically demanding, and to be successful, you will need to understand proper lifting procedures and prepare to move merchandise for most of your shift. Additionally, you will replace damaged shelving, keep the backroom organized, handle hazardous materials, and ensure equipment is charged.
While most of your time will be spent in activities that don't involve customer interaction, you may be expected to answer customer questions and assist in handling merchandise.

About the Role
The Warehouse Associate/Driver will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products, ensuring that all tasks meet company standards for accuracy, attention to detail, sanitation, safety, security, and productivity. What You'll Do
Count all products, compare to packing slip/Warehouse Management System (WMS) and check all shipments for damage, quantity, part number accuracy and expiration dates.
Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments (“shipment errors” or “incorrect shipments”) on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in pallet, static, cantilever, yard and wire storage areas/rack.
Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked in WMS. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Bag, tag or mark orders as required.
Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct in WMS. Accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move product into trailers, box/rack trucks, vans, cars or containers.
Maintain all equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently, while complying with OSHA and company standards.

About the Role
The Warehouse Associate/Driver will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products, ensuring that all tasks meet company standards for accuracy, attention to detail, sanitation, safety, security, and productivity. In addition, this role requires driving a company vehicle within the assigned geographic area, with a strong emphasis on maintaining safety for oneself and others while on the road.
What You'll Do
Count all products, compare to packing slip/Warehouse Management System (WMS) and check all shipments for damage, quantity, part number accuracy and expiration dates.
Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments (“shipment errors” or “incorrect shipments”) on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in pallet, static, cantilever, yard and wire storage areas/rack.
Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked in WMS. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Bag, tag or mark orders as required.
Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct in WMS. Accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move product into trailers, box/rack trucks, vans, cars or containers.
Maintain all equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

As our Shipping and Receiving Specialist you will work closely with our IT Procurement Specialist and IT Management to ensure shipments are successfully received and reconciled against open orders. You will play an integral role in the onboarding of new Amherst employees, making sure that required equipment is shipped and arrives in a timely manner. This position 100% onsite.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Assists in developing inventory control guidelines and policies for the agency Laundry, Food
and Supply program; and assists with reviewing property management policies, procedures, and
controls, and recommends improvements.
B. Coordinates, schedules, and conducts inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies; audits
inventory results; coordinates the disposal of surplus property and arranges and rotates stock
and inventory; documents the receipt and distribution of property and the disposition of surplus
property; and conducts investigations on lost property items.
C. Prepares and reviews estimates of supplies and merchandise needs, prepares purchase
requisitions, and checks, verifies, and approves requests for replenishing supplies and
merchandise; verifies the receipt, warehousing, and distribution of products; monitors property
and supply expenditures; and inspects and ensures proper maintenance of machinery and
equipment.
D. Reviews and reconciles requisition, accounting, budget, and inventory reports; and reviews and
maintains inventory records, purchase orders, vouchers, and other related forms.
E. Trains and supervises the work of employees and inmates; provides technical assistance in
handling stock, record keeping, warehouse operations, and applicable policies and procedures;
and ensures security procedures and safety standards are maintained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education, Experience, and Training
1. Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
2. Three years full-time, wage-earning supply, warehouse operations, inventory and stock
control, or purchasing experience. Thirty semester hours from a college or university
accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
(CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for
each year of experience on a year-for-year basis.
3. Budget monitoring experience preferred.
4. Experience in the supervision of employees or inmates preferred.
5. Correctional custody or law enforcement experience preferred.
B. Knowledge and Skills
1. Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory and stock control methods and
procedures.
2. Knowledge of inventory and stock control record keeping to include manual and automated
inventory control systems.
3. Knowledge of budget monitoring principles and techniques preferred.
