As well as conducting end-of-month physical inventory counts to maintaining accurate inventory levels. Work with repair technicians to research and propose the correct replacement parts for any necessary repairs. Acquire quotes and lead times from different suppliers, if possible, to achieve the best pricing/delivery. Monitors & take action regarding Purchase Orders (POs) and RFQs (Request for Quotations). Reviews, updates and maintains open Purchase Orders until closed. Develops knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes, material and commodity pricing and excellent focus on quality. Acts as a first line of contact & establishes strategic relationships with suppliers. Understand variance reports to determine where common issues are deriving from and report ongoing issues to management to produce effective solutions. Review all inventory transfers/transactions processed by the stockroom clerk to ensure accurate inventory level throughout each location.
