Your New Role
The Sr. Accountant, Consolidated Financial Reporting will focus on various consolidation activities, internal and external financial reporting, review and analysis of WBD's financial results for inclusion in the Company's quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring results are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This position will play a key role in ensuring the global consolidation and associated projects are successful and efficient.
Your Role Accountabilities
Assist with the preparation of specific schedules included in the company's SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, Registration statements, 8-K, Proxy statement, and others.
Assist with the preparation of disclosures in compliance with applicable U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
Ensures applicable SOX controls are operating effectively. Provide timely submission of requested audit documentation.
Assist with the preparation WBD's consolidated flux explanations for quarterly flux reviews.
Prepare top-side consolidation journal entries as necessary, review and reconcile consolidation adjusting entries.
Participate in other key projects and initiatives impacting consolidations and financial reporting and ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
3 - 5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
Experience with SAP/BW or other large ERP systems
Extensive experience with Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, macros Financial reporting experience or external audit experience with a SEC registrant is strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CPA eligible preferred
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet routine and non-routine deadlines
High degree of motivation to deliver a quality product

The Role: Senior Accountant
Gemini is looking to hire a dynamic accounting senior associate responsible for creation and maintenance of financial reports and associated data supporting various legal entities across Gemini. You'll be joining a rapidly growing and high quality, established digital asset exchange that is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services and others globally. This appointment will be central to our continued scaling as an organization and efforts to increase transparency and public company reporting. This role will be involved in key / high priority growth projects impacting the Finance department as well as the overall organization.
This role is required to be in person twice a week at either our Seattle, WA, New York City, NY, or Miami, FL office.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close
Account for digital asset transactions, customer custodial funds, revenue recognition and other areas
Analyze fluctuations and trends in financial statement line items and provide insightful commentary
Assist with the preparation of annual and quarterly footnote disclosures
Support internal and external audit requests, providing timely documentation and analyses
Identify process improvements and help implement scalable accounting practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and account for new transaction types
Contribute to special projects, as needed
Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field
3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or industry experience
Big 4 accounting firm experience is a plus
CPA (or equivalent license)
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience with fintech, digital assets, financial services a strong plus (but not required)
Experience managing numerous competing deliverables
Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ownership of complex areas
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing financial environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $92,400 - $132,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. THE ROLE

Reconciliation of balance sheet, P&L, and all intercompany recharges
Produce monthly financial statements, perform variance analysis, and provide commentaries
Oversee tax functions for the US and Canada, liaising with our external tax accountants and ensuring all necessary tax filings are completed in time
Production of year-end audit files for both US and Canada Companies and support the head office and parent company with the statutory audit
Ensure compliance and support the Group with federal, state, and local legal requirements; filing financial reports
Maintain internal control processes and ensure the system and processes are efficiently operating and utilised within the company
Manage relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities
Assist monthly account reviews for the US and Canada, to ensure management accounts and reporting supports the overall reporting vision

The Accountant, Corporate Reporting is responsible for providing accounting support and management reporting to Sony Music's central corporate divisions in the US including finance, legal affairs, people experience and facilities. The position will directly handle all accounting and reporting for monthly results, forecast and budget. The position is highly visible, working directly with business leads and requires someone with strong communication and analytical skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Accountant's responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
Record monthly journal entries including monthly accruals and other activities related to month and year-end closings
Review and analyze monthly financial results for assigned departments. Handle departmental inquiries regarding monthly results
Develop and manage annual departmental budgets, monthly forecasts and prepare commentary on monthly results for presentation to Departmental Executives and/or external auditors
Monitor on-going risks and opportunities for monthly forecasts
Review and approve invoices for proper coding and processing to AP and research invoice related issues
Review and approve T&E reports against company policy
Review internal controls and processes and make recommendations for improvements and automation
Ad hoc special projects and analyses as assigned
Who you are:
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting required
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, public experience preferred
Strong Excel skills (Vlookups, Countifs, Sumifs, Index/Match)
Strong working knowledge of accounting software and accounting standards ie. GAAP
CPA or parts passed preferred
Willing to grow and take on new projects and work independently
You are well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and adapt quickly to shifting priorities to meet deadlines on a timely basis

Identify process gaps and recommend scalable improvements to support growth and improve reporting quality.
Assist in documentation of revenue accounting processes, controls, and standard work.
Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors with detailed explanations of revenue activity and accounting treatment.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and company revenue recognition policies.
Maintain and update internal controls related to revenue accounting and reporting.
Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4-7+ years of revenue accounting or general accounting experience (public accounting + industry preferred).
Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition concepts.
Experience working with ERP or revenue automation tools (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Zuora, Salesforce, etc.).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred

The **Senior** **Accountant, HBO Content Accounting** will be a member of the DTC Accounting Controllership team based in Atlanta, GA or Knoxville, TN. The Accounting Controllership Team is responsible for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, review of account reconciliations and support for global financial reporting processes. Everyday responsibilities include ensuring compliance during audits, as well as with SEC and SOX guidelines. The Team closely collaborates with other relevant stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Operations, Tax, as well as external service providers. The Senior Accountant, Max Content is essential in supporting the Direct-to-Consumer Segment Content Accounting for Max, Warner Brothers Discovery's flagship streaming platform. This individual will be responsible for month-end and quarterly activities related to the capitalization and amortization of licensed content, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
Your Role Accountabilities
+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for in-house original productions, third-party and intercompany licensed content assets, accruals, prepayments, and amortization
+ Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual SEC schedules, including content rights, commitments and future amortization
+ Partner with content finance to ensure the accurate and timely premiere of titles and action adjustments to content asset and liability balances, when needed
+ Provide support for audit requests, both internal and external
+ Maintain compliance with the SOX control framework and partner with Financial Compliance regularly to aid in the evaluation of our control environment
+ Utilize processes and reports within SAP S/4 to ensure accurate reporting of streaming content and perform account analysis
+ Manage intercompany activity and communication between Max and other business units across the company, researching and resolving variances as they arise
