Create, copy, file and maintain patient files, records, and other information. Compile and condense technical and statistical data for reports and records. Also contribute/attend full-team meetings of the entire staff and is involved in evaluating the performance of the Care Team and all quality improvement activities. Maintain strict confidentiality. Shift Requirements Saturday and Sunday. 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. One year of medical experience in a laboratory or equivalent combination of training and experience. Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred. Excellent customer relation skills-Ability to communicate well under stressful conditions both on the telephone and in face-to-face encounters. Ability to maintain accurate records-good organizational skills. Able to concentrate and complete detailed work despite frequent interruptions. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day. Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard. Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines. Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing. Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition. Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to life and/or carry up to 100 lbs. Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces. Ability to travel 0-5% of the time, including flying and driving rental cars. To accommodate travel, must be able to transport own suitcases and portable computer estimated at 25 pounds. Occasionally relocate to other jobs. Maintain professional certification. Maintain a current and valid driver's license.
