Part-time Description
St. George School in Hermann, MO is in search of a certified Part-Time Elementary and/or Secondary Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants who have a current teaching certificate, active in their faith-life, and have a strong work ethic are perfect candidates for this position. The candidates should have an understanding of the importance of the developmental milestones in a child's life, as well as educate students about the fundamental concepts of music theory such as rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo. They conduct exercises like vocalization, harmonizing, singing, and playing musical instruments. They may also lead rehearsals in preparation for the school's musical performances, Annual Christmas concert and Grandparent's Day. Other skills needed in this position are being able to effectively communicate with parents and work as part of a team with other teachers and staff members. A skill-set on using different platforms of technology is beneficial. A successful candidate can minister to students regardless of subject area and a teacher who is consistent with the Mission of St. George School, promotes and teaches the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal.
