Our compensation rates vary based on years of EM experience
Entry Level (no EM experience)is $58/hour for the first 15 months of employment. After 15 months, the hourly rate will increase to $67 and you will be eligible for quarterly performance bonuses based on productivity. The bonus for APPs brings the total hourly rate to an average of ~$104/hr.
15 months+ of EM Experienceis $67-$78/hour depending on level of experience. You will be immediately eligible for quarterly performance bonuses based on productivity, which brings your total hourly rate to an average of ~$104-$115.

Program Description
In October 2021, Washington Emergency Care Physicians (WECP) proudly opened the first Pacific Northwest-based emergency medicine post graduate program for advance practice providers (APPs). The Program is specifically designed for physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are interested in a life-long career in emergency medicine with training sites in the Puget Sound through Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians (TECP), a subsidiary of WECP.
Program Objectives
To provide exceptional training and experience for APP professionals to have a successful career in any emergency department setting.
To prepare candidates well for recognized emergency medicine APP examinations (NCCPA-CAQ for physician assistants, AANPCB Boards for nurse practitioners)
Curriculum
Fifteen (15) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Close to 2400 hours of clinical training
Over 300 hours of didactics to include over an introductory bootcamp followed my weekly activities that include conferences, meetings, case presentations, ultrasound training, procedure lab or simulation.
Over 400 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.
Expected commitment of 50 hours per week of the above activities
Phased Training with increasing levels of expected competency and confidence.
Post Graduate APP 0:
Pre-Boot Camp: 37 hours of on-line Emergency Medicine CME months before start of Program
Boot Camp: First 2 weeks at start of Program
Post Graduate APP 1: Six (6) months of ED clinical shifts in low acuity zones
Post Graduate APP 2: Two and half (2.5) months of external rotations - Trauma (4 wks), Peds UCC & ED(4 wks), Ophthalmology/Critical Care/Interventional Rad(1.5 wks), Vacation(1wk)
Post Graduate APP 2: Six (6) months of ED clinical shifts in high acuity zones
Continuing Medical Education
Required 150+ CME hours (provided and paid for by Program)
Original EM Boot Camp on-line course, to be completed before start of program
EMRAP subscription for duration of program
DynaMed subscription
ATLS, PALS
Faculty Advisor & Mentor will be assigned to each post graduate candidate
Regularly scheduled monthly meetings with Faculty Advisor
Advisor to monitor progress and identify strengths/areas of improvement
Advisor with candidate will develop individualized plan to ensure continued growth and development
Senior Post Grad APPs are expected to mentor Junior Postgrads.
Two (2) classes per year

Job Duties:
Provide comprehensive care to ACS and trauma patients in collaboration with attending physicians

Nine (9) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Over 1500 hours of clinical training

Over 250 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.
Expected commitment of 50 hours per week of the above activities

Olympia Emergency Care Physicians (OECP) is a physician-led, democratic group providing the highest quality emergency care in the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for experienced Per Diem Board-Certified Emergency Physicians to join our group.
Practice Details:
OECP Physicians work in the Emergency Department at Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA and the off-campus Emergency Department in Lacey, WA.
We have a tight knit team of approximately 40 physicians and APPs.
Hourly compensation for our Per Diem Physicians is $240 per hour with an additional night shift stipend.
Malpractice Insurance Coverage - Occurrence Based
Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, OECP staffs MultiCares emergency departments in Olympia and Lacey. Olympia itself rests on the southern shores of the Puget Sound, between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. This allows for easy access to skiing, hiking, boating, fishing, and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Olympia is within a few hours of some of the worlds best wineries.
The group benefits from partnership with Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians, Spokane Emergency Care Physicians, and Washington Emergency Care Physicians, bringing close to 5 decades of emergency medicine practice experience in the MultiCare Health System.

Schedule:
Full-time employment is twelve 8-hour or 9-hour shifts each month.
Employees start out working a mix of shifts and training at one hospital site, and later add in working at multiple hospital sites. Opportunity to work majority of shifts at one preferred site. Opportunity for nocturnist work if desired with attractive hourly differential.
