Position Summary
The role of the Medical Assistant reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the nurse and front office with day-to-day duties.
Essential Job Responsibilities
* Obtain patient vitals and input data into the electronic medical records system
* Perform any necessary CLIA-waive tests
* Clean room after patient use
* Ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies
* Appropriately process soiled instruments
* Assist front desk with daily operations, as needed
Qualifications
* Education: High School diploma or GED
* Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a previous medical assistant role, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.

Position Summary
The role of the Certified Nurse Assistant reports to the Nurse Supervisor. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Hospice Home or during home visits. and expected to complete all regulatory requirements.
Essential Position Responsibilities
* Assess the patients condition at each visit and chart observations into the electronic medical record
* Communicate and comfort the patient and patients family regarding death and grief concerns
* Provide thorough education for patient and family on proper home health care procedures
* Coordinate care with interdisciplinary members of the patients care team
* Assist patient with personal hygiene and basic care needs in a timely and safe manner
* Identify and relay pain and change in condition/safety concerns to appropriate case manager
* Recommend resources that may improve the quality of life for the patient and assist patient in maintaining their independence as is relates to CNA standards and responsibilities
Qualifications
* Education: High school diploma or GED and Certified Nursing Assistant program, required.
* Licensure and Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant, required. CPR, required. Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance, required. Fingerprints every 5 years, required.
* Experience: Minimum of one year of CNA experience, preferred. Previous experience in a hospice setting, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 60% of time standing and/or walking short distances while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 40% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. Frequent local travel required. This position has exposure to communicable disease and bodily fluids. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically patient population.
