Waste Connections is looking for a Safety-conscious Spotter/Operator to join our Naples Recycling team in Naples, FL! This is a full-time, long-term position with a reputable company. The spotter's main priority is to give clear verbal and non-verbal directions to truck drivers entering the Transfer Station. This is to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. You will also assist as an Equipment Operator. A typical schedule is Monday - Friday an occasional Saturday as needed. Average workweek is 45 plus Hours. May work weekends if needed. $19.00 an hour DOE POSITION SUMMARY: * Spotting Trucks, cleaning equipment, picking up litter, general site cleanup. * Ability to efficiently operate, wheel loaders, excavator * Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires. * Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. * Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance shop employees and directing the workflow to ensure the safety and productivity of Waste pro vehicles, equipment and / or containers. This role may act as manager-on-duty in the absence of other managerial personnel and handles a broad array of management responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR and/or repair orders. Road test vehicles to diagnose problems and confirm completed repairs. 2.Supervises team of employees who are responsible for the repair, installation and maintenance of Waste Pro machinery and heavy-duty equipment, including but not limited to, Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Portable Restrooms, and Containers. 3. Prepares and reviews all repair orders to ensure that labor, materials, and parts are properly charged, and work is completed according to established guidelines. Maintains logs of repairs performed on each vehicle. 4. The Residential Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily service delivery to residential Waste Pro customers ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of contracted services in accordance with Waste Pro practices ,procedures ,and applicable regulations. This position understands Waste Pro Core Values and applies principles of Positive Leadership in the supervision of drivers ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Directly responsible for the supervision of drivers and performance of daily operations. Greet drivers upon their arrival to the yard; ensure that pre and post trip inspections are conducted. Communicate to the driver's key service points, safety, and equipment issues while ensuring they are part of the Waste Pro team and understand the core values. 2. Interact with city, state and municipalities to ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner. 6. Perform route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed. Ensure corrals are in good condition, cans are sanitized, debris is picked up around can, bins are placed and labeled properly, and gates are closed. Complete route observation reports and discuss observations with driver including safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness and truck appearance. Identify training needs and review with driver. 7. Monitor driver's daily pre-trip inspection, address findings, and ensure driver conducts proper inspections. Review all truck repair issues and address with shop manager to ensure mechanical issues are fixed. 8. Monitor driver time and attendance, completed route sheets, disposal tickets and compliance with DOT hours of service and Waste Pro regulations. 9. Complete accident and injury reports. Respond to vehicle accident investigations, workers compensation and property damage claims. 10. Train and provide orientation for new employees. 11. Conduct performance evaluations, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles. 12. Ensure front loaders are cleaned on a daily basis. 13. Drive and assist on routes to cover shortages. Assist drivers who are behind normal schedule as needed. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance shop employees and directing the workflow to ensure the safety and productivity of Waste pro vehicles, equipment and / or containers. This role may act as manager-on-duty in the absence of other managerial personnel and handles a broad array of management responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR and/or repair orders. Road test vehicles to diagnose problems and confirm completed repairs. 2.Supervises team of employees who are responsible for the repair, installation and maintenance of Waste Pro machinery and heavy-duty equipment, including but not limited to, Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Portable Restrooms, and Containers. 3. Prepares and reviews all repair orders to ensure that labor, materials, and parts are properly charged, and work is completed according to established guidelines. Maintains logs of repairs performed on each vehicle. 4. Recommends hiring actions, coach, counsel and evaluate performance, identify training opportunities, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions/meetings and apply Positive Leadership principles.
