You, a vital piece of the team, would be responsible for safely operating a CDL Truck delivering dumpster containers to customers, while providing the best service in the industry. This includes duties such: Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.). Determine the best, convenient drop off location for dumpster, to avoid property damage. Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load Dumpster on/off truck. Secure the Dumpster Load, cover appropriately and account for weight shift before departing. Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher. Perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Interact courteously with your customers. The Operator - Heavy Equipment is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment using proper safety standards. Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste in materials. Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed. Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to Maintenance Shop for repair. Complete Equipment Condition Report and other reports, as necessary; report any necessary repairs to supervisor, as needed. Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Ensure that shop is clean, serviced and stored at the completion of each shift. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This position reports directly to the Area Director of Landfill Operations and indirectly to the Corporate Director Gas Operations. This position manages: landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) operations, capital budget planning and dispersal, regulatory compliance, and will provide oversight of and support to Area landfill gas field Technicians and Gas Operations Supervisor(s). Proven engineering knowledge and aptitude for GCCS design, construction and system operations is required, along with an understanding of state and federal regulations, which impact GCCS design and operations. This position will implement company-wide training programs, directives, policies and procedures related to GCCS design, construction, operations, and maintenance within a defined geographic area of coverage (i.e., Area). A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company's safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports. Safely operate his or her heavy truck along his or her designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle and assists a Driver in providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers who reside on a designated residential route. The Driver Helper is responsible for safely loading waste, as well as carrying bags and containers to the vehicle for disposal. The position assists the Driver in maneuvering his or her vehicle by directing the Driver from the ground. In addition, the Helper helps to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, as well as the on the route and in the work area. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route. * Operate packing mechanism and various levers and handles to activate the lifting and loading mechanism * Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip; spray and clean the hopper and truck, if applicable. * Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy; report any safety issues on standard reports. * Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner. * Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste. * Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies. * Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. * Follow all required safety policies and procedures. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
