Our Orange City, Florida branch is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team! This position will report directly to the Regional Manager overseeing our Orange City, FL operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in employee dispatching, travel coordination, administrative support, equipment logistics, and business development coordination for our U.S. dredging and dewatering market.
This role can currently be performed remotely but candidates must be located in the Orange City/Orlando area due to possibly leading into an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Dispatch & Travel Coordination:
· Assign jobs to employees based on project needs, availability, and qualifications.
· Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation for field employees.
· Respond to employee requests for logistical support and ensure smooth travel arrangements.
· Ensure employees receive all necessary documentation and project details before deployment.
Administrative Support:
· Process credit card reports, expense reports, pay reviews, and approvals.
· Ensure compliance with financial reporting procedures.
· Assist in preparing reports and maintaining operational documentation.
· Organize and track equipment logistics and project resource allocation.
Business Development & Customer Coordination (U.S. Market - Dredging & Dewatering):
· Assist with customer outreach to schedule appointments for the Business Development Manager in the U.S. market.
· Maintain customer records and support sales-related administrative tasks.
· Follow up with potential clients regarding dredging and dewatering services.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
· Education: Associate in administration, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. (work experience may be substitute for education)
· Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, dispatch, logistics, or administrative support.
· Language: Strong proficiency in English (spoken & written); French is a plus.
· Technology: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently.
· Experience in employee dispatch, travel coordination, or logistics is an asset.
· Familiarity with industrial or environmental services, particularly dredging and dewatering, is an advantage.
· Must be willing to travel 10-15% to jobsites.

Overview:

* Possess Class B Certified Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of hire
* Prior supervisory experience in a shop or maintenance setting desired.
* Full set of hand tools required.
* Knowledge of welding, compactor repair, air brake inspection, vehicle inspections.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, TMW, I-Pak and JDEdwards.
* Working knowledge of the G/L codes for assigning parts and labor.
* Possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals, read routine reports and correspondences and speak effectively and communicate well with others.
* Ability to calculate mathematical problems such as discounts, proportions and percentages, etc.
* Possess ability to reason and to problem-solve.
* Knowledge of the budgetary process.
Physical/Mental Demands:
* Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, and balance.
* Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
* Possess ability to regularly move up to 25 pounds, frequently move/lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally/lift move up to 100 pounds manually.
Working Conditions:
* Noise level is moderate to loud.
* Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
* Occasionally work in high precarious places.
