Job Information Set up, adjust and operate lasers and brake presses to produce parts in accordance with instructions. Role & Responsibility * Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check part quality. * Maintain parts flow per Kanban guidelines and department work rules. * Support data collection and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities. * Responsible for quality of parts and workmanship * Cross train between operations. * Follow all necessary Safety procedures and work instructions. * Assist other team members as required. * Maintain cleanliness of area. * Other duties as assigned Brake Press Operator duties: * Design and develop programs. * Set up, check programs and operate automatic numerically controlled machines to perform a complex series of progressive operations to meet precise tolerance and requirements. * Understand program format. * Arrange and secure tooling. * Mount, align and secure holding fixtures. * Set stops, calibrate fixture to appropriate reference points. * Manually cycle machine through operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc. * Adjust machine or console to correct deviations. * May set up and instruct other machine operators. Laser Operator duties: * Set up, adjust, and operate CNC controlled laser cutting machine to cut pieces from sheet and steel plate stock of various gauges. * Set up laser cutting machine for cutting conditions and operations and make adjustments as needed. * Identify parts and inspect cut edge quality. Make adjustments as necessary. Job Requirement * High School Diploma/GED. * Team Player, Solid Communication Skills, Good Work Ethic and Basic Computer Skills. * Safety Conscious. * Communication: proficient English both written and verbal.
