I. Job Summary Oversees planning and execution of large and generally complex projects, including but not limited to:

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and determines and acquires resources needed. For large Strategic Asset Development projects this involves overseeing a multi-disciplinary team that includes but is not limited to team members with expertise in:
Engineering; Operations; Legal; Regulatory Structure and Functionality; Political Trends and Campaigning; Environmental Regulatory and Compliance; Community Relations; Financial Management and Planning
Develops and maintains project plans and budgets, prepares and analyzes project performance reports.
Negotiates, administers and manages service contracts of contractors and consultants.
Negotiates permit conditions, agreements and contracts with agencies, elected officials and other constituents as necessary.
Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.
Supervises team work processes and procedures and expenses, and supports programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and is responsible for quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Oversees project personnel needs including coaching, training and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities This position may be responsible for employees through a direct reporting relationship as well as through an indirect reporting relationship on a project basis. The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees.

Each day, you'll play a key role in keeping our plant running at its best, maintaining everything from balers and conveyor belts to gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. As a Plant Maintenance Mechanic, you'll jump into action when systems fail, using your skills to quickly identify and fix issues, ensuring everything is back up and running safely and efficiently. You'll work with cutting-edge equipment and tackle challenges that require both expertise and determination. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, you'll help drive the success of our operations, ensuring the plant runs smoothly and safely at all times.

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections (PM) and diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components, including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders, and building equipment.
Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog.
Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and inform the Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
Inspect the quality of third-party repairs and rebuilds.
Recommend improvements to enhance production, equipment performance, and product quality.
Multitask and manage multiple priorities with efficiency.
Respond to emergency breakdown service calls.
Perform work with limited supervision while maintaining high standards of performance.
Be flexible with your work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to meet operational needs.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and ensure all work is completed according to safety procedures.
Perform repairs in line with Waste Management Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA requirements.

* Manages landfill construction projects from overseeing the preparation of construction plans to final approval. Tasks will include managing consultants, contractors and budgets, preparation of bid documents, bid letting, contract administration, coordinating contractors, construction quality assurance firms, and materials order and delivery.
* Actively manages and tracks capital budgets for engineering and construction projects and report to local management and corporate using Company procedures.
* Coordinates landfill capacity tracking to help manage this key asset. This will include developing airspace calculations and completing capacity projections; as well as working with landfill managers to develop efficient fill sequencing plans and schedules for cell construction and closure timing
