Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claim Representative I to handle California jurisdiction claims with a focus on lien resolution and lifetime medical management. This remote position supports multiple accounts within the staffing and transportation industries and requires an individual who can manage complex medical issues, negotiate lien settlements, and maintain strong compliance with state and client requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical problem-solving, communicating with medical providers and attorneys, and driving claims toward fair and timely resolution.
Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers' compensation claims in accordance with established procedures and California regulations.
Negotiate and settle liens with lien claimants, medical providers, and applicant attorneys.
Handle future medical/lifetime medical claims, ensuring timely authorization and payment of treatment, services, and prescriptions.
Review medical reports, legal correspondence, and billing to determine reasonableness and relatedness to ongoing claims.
Coordinate with defense counsel and vendors to resolve complex lien disputes.
Maintain current and accurate diary, documentation, and billing records.
Ensure compliance with CCMSI standards, client requirements, and jurisdictional timeframes.
Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, claimants, and internal partners.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation claim handling experience, with exposure to lien resolution and/or lifetime medical management.
SIP certification or Experienced Adjuster designation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred:
Prior experience managing claims within the staffing or transportation industries.
Performance Metrics
Performance is measured by accuracy and timeliness of diary entries, documentation, and bill processing; quality of claim handling; and adherence to client and corporate standards.

Compensation:

Specific Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for working independently or as a team member under the direct supervision of your Team Leader.
You will be responsible for the de-icing and clearing of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties throughout the Medina, Brunswick area in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service.
Work closely with Team Leaders in the de-icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties according to the specified contracts
Always represent the company's best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Addresses clients' questions, comments, and concerns or refers clients to the Team Leader as appropriate
Maintain and care for your personal or company provided equipment, tools and vehicles.
Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as shovels, plows, snow blowers, ATV's, skid loaders, vehicles with plow blades, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal.
Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or magnesium chloride.
Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather.
It is required all Snow Removal Technicians have cold weather gear and wear it appropriately to protect themselves against adverse weather conditions
Assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader
Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED (or current student status)
One year experience in this or a related field is required
Valid Driver's License with clean record
Willingness to work occasional (paid) overtime
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature

Analyze process data on a regular basis and implement course correction as needed throughout the shift.

Troubleshoot and solve day-to-day recycling and water treatment process and equipment problems and escalate the process upsets to engineer and supervisor.
Perform standard tests to ensure proper operation of recycling, wastewater, and ultra-pure water systems.
Perform minor maintenance and repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of pumps.
Calibrate instrumentation per ISO work instructions.
Perform routine analysis on samples using laboratory equipment.
Maintain accurate records using databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based programs.
Properly collect, label, and store hazardous waste within the manufacturing plant and assist with shipment of hazardous waste from the plant per documented hazardous waste work instructions.
Respond to accidental hazardous material spills by containing and cleaning of the spills through HAZMAT standards.
Provide training to production associates.
Develop and update internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications.
