    Painter - A1 Balers of Florida - West Palm Beach, FL Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Monday through Friday & some Saturdays Reports To: Division Manager As we continue to grow our operation at A1 Balers of Florida, we are looking to hire a dependable Painter to support our shop and field operations. Our division specializes in solid waste equipment refurbishing and repair, including mobile compactor and baler service, truck refurbishing, and container restoration. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and appearance of the equipment we refurbish for our customers. Essential Job Functions The Painter will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, cleaning, and painting of equipment, containers, and compactors. Core responsibilities include: Clean and maintain the shop and yard areas Remove stickers and labels from cans and containers Remove lids and prepare surfaces for painting Paint roll-off cans, containers, and compactors Brush, and roll paint Paint the bottoms of cans and complete all required touch-ups Support refurbishing projects on roll-off containers and compactors Physical & Work Environment Requirements Stand on their feet for long periods throughout the day Climb ladders to paint compactors, including top surfaces Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions Work both under covered areas and in full sun Perform hands-on, physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment Overtime Expectations When the company experiences a high volume of projects, overtime will be required. Employees will be expected to work until 5:00 p.m. as needed and may also be scheduled to work on Saturdays to meet operational demands. What We're Looking For A reliable, safety-focused team member who takes pride in quality work, follows direction well, and is ready to grow with our division as we expand. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Skills should include dismantling & reassembling vehicles, wash/prep vehicles for paint, minor body work, sanding/prep, masking, priming & painting (single and 2 stage systems). 2. Perform body repairs on Heavy Duty Equipment, including but not limited to Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Port-a-let, and other service type trucks including chassis and body. 3. Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective repair. 4. Completes all required paperwork / computer data entry, including documenting parts usage and time in and out on repair orders, in a timely and concise manner 5. Follows all safety policies and procedures. 6. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. 7. Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals when needed. 8. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. 9. Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability. 10. Ability to research information needed to fix and restore trucks including chassis and bodies. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge of use of body fillers, epoxy & urethane primers & paints, single and two stage paint systems. 2. Knowledge of Paint & Body work. 3. Computer skills as required. 4. Toolbox and tools commonly used for body repairs, part removal & painting. 5. Mechanic trade school certification or 3+ years of experience 6. 6h Federal EPA certified

Works closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts. Performs all duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed. Notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage. Notifies Dispatch or Operations Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups or problems that arise on the route. Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris. Completes and submits customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed. Positions containers on the customer's property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic. Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route. III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. IV.
