What You'll Be Doing:
* Operate and monitor pumping plants and wells to regulate water flow between reservoirs.
* Use the SCADA system to control, monitor, and adjust water system operations.
* Check and maintain disinfecting and treatment equipment to ensure water quality standards are met.
* Inspect, clean, grease, and service motors, pumps, and other mechanical components.
* Record and report system data, including meter readings and flow rates.
* Maintain facilities and grounds around pumping stations.

Education and Experience:
Any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is considered qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications is:
Graduation from high school.

Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing water system maintenance, operations, or related duties within a water division of a municipality, special district, or utility.
Special Requirements:
* A valid Grade 3 Water Distribution Operator Certification issued by the State of California Water Board. The certification is required at the time of application and must be maintained throughout employment in this position.
* A valid Grade 2 Water Treatment Operator Certification issued by the State of California Water Board. The certification is required at the time of application and must be maintained throughout employment in this position.

Examples of Duties

Place linen onto a metal hanger (cubicle curtains)
When necessary, stack linen as it comes out of folding or ironing machines
Visually and manually inspect linen to maintain quality
Maintain a clean workstation
Demonstrates friendly and respectful behavior in the work environment
Assist in any job necessary as instructed by Management

Essential Responsibilities
•Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications using master copy, spec sheet, front elevation and WO files
•Perform maintenance and proper use of tools.
•Perform in process inspections; ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
•Perform all ship prep functions including splitting gear.
•Assist in Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies
•Assist a small team of employees to complete a specific task assigned as assigned by lead assembler and/or supervisor
•Perform mechanical adjustments for switchgear
•Promote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings.
•Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
Minimum Qualifications
•Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
•2-4 years of experience in assembling medium to large sized metal boxes/enclosures or electrical switchgear
•Ability to read a tape measure (including conversions from fraction to decimal and conversely from decimal to fraction and metric to imperial).
•Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.
•Basic knowledge of operating desktop computer.
•Safely use variety of hand/power tools.
•Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
•Basic MES system knowledge, Oracle preferred.

Assist with daily and weekly preventative maintenance of the Paint Line & Bus Insulation Line equipment and facilities.
Move parts from one manufacturing operation to the next operation according to the part routing.
Remove finished parts from sheet metal skeletons.
Sort and stack parts by part number & job number combination.
Assemble kits of parts to be welded.
Assist machine operators with various tasks upon request.
On occasion, be required to perform labor task such as painting, grinding, sanding or general cleaning task as directed by your supervisor or leadperson.
Lifting of up to 50 lbs. consistently.
End of shift cleanup is required.
