You do not need to be a skilled swimmer or have taught swimming lessons before to help. If you are passionate about water safety and love working with our youth then we want you to apply here.
Project Safe Instructors work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, and travel to teach the program at two YMCA Centers.
Rewards we offer you:

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, and a $500 sign-on bonus
What You'll Do:
- Teach Project SAFE classes as assigned by the program director
- Arrive on deck at least 15 minutes prior to class and be ready to start class at the scheduled time.
- Instruct class participants to take a soap shower before entering the pool.
- Maintain cleanliness of the area; remove items and equipment when finished or those that need attention to all needed repairs to your supervisor.
- Follow pool lockup procedures if your class is not followed by another activity. If your class is followed by another group, remain on duty until you are relieved.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
