As a front office associate, you will be responsible for timely check-in and check-out and will greet patients with a warm smile and pleasant voice and performs a variety of clerical functions for the radiology office. You will be responsible for insuring all pre-radiology exam clerical workflows are completed in advance of patients arrival to insure a satisfactory experience and outcome. You will assist with various radiology office workflows such as medical records requests and transmission of results as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verify office has a legible copy of radiology order for all scheduled exams prior to patients arrival unless patient is bring to their appointment.
Responsible for verifying/updating patient information with no errors, confirming accuracy of all registration data and paperwork on file, communicating with Authorization team regarding appropriate insurance changes.
Collect co-pays, deductibles and balances as noted in account, run/verify end of day reports and balance cash drawer.
Schedule/reschedule appointments and monitor lobby and doorways for patient activity and maintain the patient waiting area so it is clean and comfortable for patients.
Assists with answering phones and phone call overflow as needed.
Checks lobby for patients to minimize wait time. Communicate any expected wait times to patients.
Ensures Drawer balances at day's end.
Provides and exemplary patient experience.
Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy in all appropriate Athena, Pacs, RIS workflows and processes.
Confirm upcoming patient appointments either in person or via telephone. Provide exam instruction/prep, any expected Out of Packet monies, facility address, appointment date and arrival time and a callback number.

The Clinical Team Lead will report directly to the Practice Supervisor and will lead the efforts of the clinical side of the practice. Oversees facility in terms of inventory and supply control; for instance, overseeing exam/waiting rooms and lab/nursing area are stocked and sanitized. Orders medical and office supplies.
Responsible for scheduling/ordering ancillary services.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Clinical Certification (LPN, CMA, RMA). Clinical Certifications must be kept current to maintain the position.
1-2 years direct healthcare experience of similar scope
Required Skills and Abilities

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) credential required.

Responsibilities
Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic
Identifies patient following protocol.
Prepares samples for processing w/correct label and bar code and inspects vials
Reconciles outstanding sample report at day's end.
Observe safety procedures and sample prep.
Support and guide in day-to-day activities.
Clean up old orders and combine orders in Copia, know which tests are duplicates and which are necessary for measures.
Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.

Qualifications
Phlebotomy certification or M.A. certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.
2+ years of experience in Lab.
Understand labeling/ID protocol, and knowledge of common lab tests, sample types, and vacutainers.
Understand Biohazard, OSHA safety regulations for medical offices, and Universal precautions.
Knowledge of test requirements and how to search Quest/LabCorp for esoteric tests.
Ability to interpret miscellaneous order
