• Responsible for set-up and turnover of their own operatory, utilizing proper disinfection techniques as noted in the policy and procedures manual. Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a part time Physical Therapist to join our Rehab team (18 hours per week.)
The Physical Staff Therapist position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to help our patient through their journey from the moment the child is brought through the door through the time the child leaves to go home. You will provide evaluations and therapy services, education and training to meet the needs of our patients. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to learn and grow in their practice by being exposed to orthopaedic, acute care and outpatient settings.
Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care
Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the patient and their family.
Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.
Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as mentoring and providing education to students and other professionals.
Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation.

Qualifications
Required:
Education necessary to obtain License in State of Practice
Pennsylvania PT License
BLS
Preferred:
1 year physical therapy experience
New graduates considered
Pediatric and ortho experience
