Summary:
A Life Coach Assistant is an entry-level position designed to introduce new Life Coach team members to WSM's model of coaching guests towards sustainable restoration. A Life Coach Assistant is a developmental position with potential for growth and promotion on the Life Coach team or at WSM as a whole. As a Life Coach Assistant demonstrates maturity and capacity, a Life Coach Supervisor may assign additional Life Coaching responsibilities to further their professional development and growth. A Life Coach Assistant will assist staff with providing accountability and empowerment for guests to reach their self-identified goals. A Life Coach Assistant will work cooperatively with a team of Residential Life and Community Resources staff to actively participate in a safe and healing environment and uphold the mission, vision, purpose, and core values of WSM.

Role Specific Responsibilities
Minister to guests, reflecting God's love for each individual, through a non-judgmental, grace-filled relationship.
Work every other weekend.
Work holidays as assigned in the staff rotation.
Be present in and manage all assigned areas of campus (shelter and/or Residential).
Assist with incident management and de-escalation of situations on campus.
Assist Life Coaches and Senior Life Coaches.
Assist with weekly room checks.
Perform breathalyzer drug tests, as directed or needed.
Have follow-up conversations with guests.
Assist with moving and orienting new guests to shelter or Residential.
Assist Dorm Monitors to ensure rooms are prepped and welcoming for new guests.
Manage and stock supplies for assigned areas on campus.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of assigned areas on campus.
Monitor and manage guests in Providence Day Shelter during chapel times.
Assist with facilitating Overview of Residential groups in Providence Day/Night Shelter.
Observe Life Coaches and shelter guests' conversations during Residential Program Application meetings.
Cover the Dining Hall during mealtimes, including scanning guests in/out.
Assist with overseeing guest task assignments (Customer Service Representatives) for showers and laundry.
Keep all bulletin boards, digital announcements, and notices/postings current and tidy.
Maintain accurate guest information, including reporting and data management.
Attend all required meetings and trainings, such as Multidisciplinary Team, Life Coach Team meeting, All-Staff meetings, off-site trainings, and others.
Answer Access Center cell phone as assigned.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in human services or related field preferred, although candidates with relevant professional training, life experience, and education may also be considered. Minimum of 1 years' experience at organization(s) serving marginalized populations and/or in the areas of mental health, trauma, or addictions recovery preferred. Competency in Microsoft Office products required. Ability to work with a database (ex: Salesforce) is essential. Bilingual English-Spanish strongly preferred.

• Keeping patient documentation up-to-date and completed by the end of each clinic day.

o Placement of sub gingival agents
o Periodontal probing, scaling, root planning, polishing or other procedures required to remove calculus deposits, accretions, excess or flash restorative materials and stains from the exposed surfaces of the teeth and beneath the gingiva.
o Administration of local anesthesia (with permit)
• Tasks under general supervision:
o Evaluation of the patient to collect data to identity dental hygiene care needs.
o Application of fluorides and other recognized topical agents for the prevention of oral diseases

• Regular and timely consultation with the dentist regarding operations and clinical care including exams on appropriate hygiene patients.
• Operate on a treatment schedule that honors time with each patient and maintains the timely flow of care, minimizing wait times.
• Responsible for clinic opening and closing procedures and provide oversight and assistance to the dental assistant staff with cleaning, set-up and next day clinic preparation.
• Responsible for set-up and turnover of their own operatory, utilizing proper disinfection techniques as noted in the policy and procedures manual. The hygienist will assist the dental assistant staff with the set up and turnover of other operatories during the course of the clinic day when time permits.
• Work in close cooperation with the dental team, providers, volunteers/students/staff.
• Maintain good relationships with other professionals in our community.
• May provide oral presentations with other members of the dental team at local dental events to help promote WSHS volunteerism.

III. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Ability to acquire knowledge of laws and departmental rules/regulations/procedures,

The Clinical Service Manager must utilize clinical knowledge of best practices and evidence-based treatments to ensure BHSI members receive timely access to quality, medically necessary behavioral health services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Authorize and reauthorize treatment utilizing ASAM Criteria.
Facilitate care coordination with system partners to address social determinants, barriers to wellness, and other needs of members, including connection to appropriate community-based services.
Carries a caseload of provider agencies and acts as the liaison and primary contact to those agencies.
Authorizes and reauthorizes the continuation of treatment or recommends and facilitates necessary changes in the levels of care.
Performs on-site utilization review activities as needed which may include, but are not limited to, the review of client charts, documentation of treatment services, completion of required paperwork, confirmation of attempt to establish M.A. eligibility.
Performs telephonic screenings as required and clinical dispositions as needed.
Monitors program eligibility of active patients via the Department of Welfare's PROMISe & e-CIS systems. Appropriately manage cases based on eligibility.
Ensures all required client paperwork is received and complete.
Maintain documentation in BHSI's electronic system consistent with agency and industry standards.
Work collaboratively with team members including assisting with the training of newly hired employees as requested, covering work when peers are out of the office as assigned.
Display clinical integrity, advocacy and commitment to member and family driven care and principles of resiliency and recovery.

Role Specific Responsibilities
• Minister to Guests, reflecting God's love for each individual through a non-judgmental, grace filled relationship.

Family Engagement Responsibilities:
• Assist the Family Engagement Coach and Family Engagement Supervisor with planning and coordinating Family Engagement for families and children staying at WSM (age birth-13 years for boys; birth-18 years for girls). This includes but is not limited to assisting with new family intakes, orienting guests to the Family Engagement team and room, and working with children and families in the Family Engagement room.
• Monitor operations and maintenance of the Family Engagement room, when assigned to the room.
• Be available as the need may arise in crisis situations.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the Family Engagement Coach and Supervisor.
• Work in full coordination with staff to identify guest needs and link guests to internal WSM resources.
• Take an active role in implementing individualized action plans for each child.
• Take an active role in implementing parent and child assessments, assessing areas of strength and needed growth.
• Participate in special programs, events, and educational/training opportunities as requested or needed.
• Manage the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the Family Engagement room.
• Assist the Family Engagement Coach and Supervisor with guiding Family Engagement volunteers to serve families and children, consistent with WSM's model and policies.
Life Coach Assistant Responsibilities:
• Assist with incident management and de-escalation of situations on campus.
• Be present in and manage all assigned areas of campus (shelter and/or Residential).
• Float to all areas as directed by Life Coach Supervisor, Senior Life Coach, or lead Life Coach on shift.
• Assist Life Coaches and Senior Life Coaches.
• Assist with weekly room checks.
• Perform breathalyzer drug tests, as directed or needed.
• Have follow-up conversations with guests.
• Assist with moving and orienting new guests to shelter or Residential.
• Assist Dorm Monitors to ensure rooms are prepped and welcoming for new guests.
• Manage and stock supplies for assigned areas on campus.

• Monitor and manage guests in Providence Day Shelter during chapel times.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in human services, early childhood/elementary/special education, social work with children and families, child/family development, or related field OR minimum of 1 year of experience serving vulnerable children and families, marginalized populations, and/or in the areas of mental health, trauma-informed care, special education, or substance abuse recovery required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required. Ability to work with a database (ex: Salesforce) is essential. Bilingual English-Spanish strongly preferred.
