Seeking a Staff Engineer to perform landfill construction quality assurance (CQA). This position may require travel and overnight stays including some weekends, depending on job site location. Most work is in Ohio. The Staff Engineer will start in the field, responsible for traveling to various solid waste facilities to perform on-site documentation/recording of daily activities, verifying the work contractors are doing is accurate, as well as soil testing to ensure it meets project specifications. This role can be trained and does not require prior experience. Must be comfortable living out of hotels for extended periods of time (not frequent, but occasionally expected). Will eventually move into more of an office-based role once the field work is mastered. Responsibilities: * Construction monitoring and documentation of construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
