Duties:

* Operates and maintains belt filter press and associated equipment.
* Receives and responds to emergency situations related to treatment, collection and water distribution operations.
* Maintains required licensure(s) or certification(s).
* Collects wastewater samples for purpose of analysis.
* Receives and responds to telephone inquiries or service calls.
* Completes general housekeeping tasks in order to maintain facilities (cleans, paints, maintains grounds, etc.).
* Operates department vehicles and equipment. Including loading and unloading chemicals and supplies.
* Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable PERRP safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures

Key Responsibilities
Monitor plant and equipment performance, including hydraulic flows, temperatures, pH, COD, VFA, pressures, and renewable power generation.
Conduct compliance audits, safety inspections, and routine reporting; upload results into the required tracking system.
Optimize facility throughput, including feedstock volume, effluent volume, and renewable energy production.
Manage inventory of consumables such as chemicals, reagents, and spare parts using CMMS.
Oversee biological processes, feedstock receiving, hydraulic pumping, chemical feed systems, filtration systems, phosphorus sequestration, solids removal, and biogas utilization.
Ensure compliance with state and local wastewater, air quality, and solid waste permits.
Maintain an active Ohio Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator License and complete continuing education requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Current Ohio Grade II Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate (or higher), preferred.
Three years of relevant experience as an operator, in RNG, construction, and/or in industrial maintenance.
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems and/or ability to assist/work on pumps, piping, electric motors, generators, instruments, and basic building maintenance.
Experience with the use of PLC's, controls, and instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, pH).
Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, email, PDF's, document downloading, ordering, cost reporting, & timesheets.
