CTI Foods water treatment technician job description

The Waste Water Technician III role will be responsible for maintaining wastewater treatment, boiler steam generation systems, hot water systems, air compressors.
PAY RATE: $20 PER HOUR



Responsibilities



Duties and Essential Job Functions:


1. Maintain all equipment in the wastewater system (Building utilities, pumps, tanks, DAF, order control) to ensure all water discharged to the city is within compliance to permit

2. Maintain all (including daily checks) Boilers and boiler rooms (ensure all areas are clean and orderly)

3. Maintain all (including daily checks) Hot Water System (ensure all areas are clean and orderly)

4. Maintain all (including daily checks) Air Compressors (ensure all areas are clean and orderly)

5. Any other duties as assigned.


Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires that hearing protection be worn in production areas always.


Qualifications



Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:


Lift up to 80 pounds occasionally

Stand and work outside for 10+ hours

Work around steam and hazardous chemicals

Operate forklift, high-pressure hoses, daft, pumps, electric, and hydraulic hoses

Read, write, and understand simple English

Complete basic math problems

Lock out required

Keep work area clean and free of clutter and debris

Follow all food safety (GMP) and general safety guidelines

Complete other tasks as assigned


Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, and taste and smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
