Daily earnings example (pay rates differ slightly by location): 2 visits (2 hrs each) x $13/hr base pay= $52 for 4 hours Visit Bonus $35 for 1 visit = $35 Total Earnings: $52 + $35 = $87 $87 / 4 hrs = $21.75 / hour *Plus mileage is also reimbursed

Meat Cutter Job Description
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to lift boxes of product above head to
upper shelves and bend and twist as needed to place product on all shelves
including lower shelves.
Must be able to unpack pallets and organize in cooler
or freezer.
Operate manual or powered jack to move pallets if
needed.
Knowledge and ability to perform the following
functions…
* Meet productivity standards
and goals for department.
* Ensure Meat department is
following work schedules for shifts, breaks and meals to comply with schedules
and to meet salary cost and productivity goals.
* Merchandise department
ensuring organization and signing and tags are in place to ensure customer
satisfaction.
* Order merchandise and
supplies- controlling inventory in backrooms and freezer. Minimize out of stocks and overstocks to
maximize sales and minimize losses.
* Follow procedures for
receiving product, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality
protection, accuracy and rotation. Freight is to be put away using proper back room rotation with date
received marked with black marker.
* Control department
expenses, shrinkage/pilferage losses. All credit issues are to be brought to the attention of the store
manager as quickly as possible. Record
known loss and remove tags before disposing product in garbage.
* Train Meat Wrappers.
* Maintain schedule program
for maintenance and cleaning of cases, coolers or refrigeration units.
* Operate power or hand
jacks.
* Maintain a favorable
department image with customers- clean, attractive cases, friendly employees.
* Maintain Cool logs/Grind
Logs and any other required documents or reports along with inventory records.
* Perform inventory counts at
designated times and report results.
* Communication with wrappers
and store management.
* Compliance with State
health, weights and measures and labeling laws. Ensure Meat room is cleaned each day after
cutting and grinders are cleaned after each grinding. Garbage is emptied and cardboard taken to
bailer.

* Receive, Breakdown, and
process various cuts of meat and related products, trim, weigh, wrap to company
standards and to meet customer demand to enhance profitability of the store.
* Follow perishable store
receiving and shelf life guidelines. Case must be filled every day and all outdated or product of poor
quality must be pulled and taken to the back room.
* Safely operate all meat
department equipment, slicers, grinders, scales, saws, knives and wrapper. Disassemble and assemble equipment for
cleaning safely and efficiently for cleaning.
