Under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse as a CST or the Physician as a Frist Assist, assists in the treatment and care of patients in the Operating Room. Provides assistance to the Operating Room team by scrubbing for surgical procedures, in accordance to the established policies and procedures for the Surgery Center. The responsibility includes the preparation, assembly and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the surgical intervention.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED.
Formal training as an O.R. Technician.
Certification as a surgical technologist.
Certification as a first assist
Current CPR certification.
Previous OR experience, one year.
