Be knowledgeable of the permit process and occupancy requirements. Oversee the set-up of job files, logs, and other documentation. Obtain all closeout materials from subcontractors and supplies including guarantees and warranties, as-builts, final pay applications, lien releases, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and coordinate Owner Training and Equipment. Assist with preparing the job start-up and closeout checklists. In coordination with the Project Manager, generate all project meeting minutes. Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contract with Owner, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals and all other project related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts. Actively participate in post-bid, buyout, O/A/C, coordination, subcontractor, staff, schedule and scheduling meetings. Qualifications Education: Four (4) year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, prepare or modify drawings, monitor work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TEP standards. Essential Functions • Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria • Design civil solutions to unique obstacles on a site including storm water control, access road grading and retaining wall design • Devise new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, monitor work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TEP standards • Prepare and develop detailed AutoCAD drawings from GIS and/or site survey • Prepare detailed construction drawings on collocation and raw land sites • Prepare reports related to tower mappings and inspections • Work with multiple jurisdictions to comply with permitting and zoning requirements • Potential overflow into other areas of Civil engineering • May assist with client interaction to include correspondence to clients, problem resolution, and final reports to meet required deadlines • Perform final check on multiple drawing types/carriers Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, lift files and equipment up to 50 lbs, physical ability to climb telecommunication towers. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The role also uses equipment such as harnesses and climbing gear necessary to climb telecommunication towers.
