Essential Job Responsibilities
Engage with potential and current customers to explain the benefits of the GMC Trade Up program, encouraging them to trade their existing vehicle for a new GMC model.
Assist customers throughout the trade-in process, providing transparent valuations and guiding them through financing and leasing options.
Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate a smooth transition from Trade Up Advantage inquiries to a vehicle purchase process.
Track and monitor Trade Up Advantage program participation, aiming to meet sales and trade-in targets.
Regularly update customers on new GMC models and special offers that complement their trade-in opportunities.
Report on key metrics, including trade-in volume, customer satisfaction scores and retention rates to management on a regular basis.
Education/Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Proven experience in sales, customer service or customer retention within the automotive industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of GMC products, services and the Trade Up program preferred.
Knowledge of automotive financing and trade-in processes preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

* Submitting bookings and time reports to the body shop manager on a daily basis.
* Monitoring progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
* Performing a quality-control check and inspecting each vehicle after repairs are completed.
* Completing and closing all repair orders, filing repair orders and related documents.
* Verifying insurance payment, rental authorization and balance due prior to release of vehicles.
* Meeting with the body shop manager daily to keep him/her informed of job status and any deviations that may have occurred.
* Maintaining an accurate paint and material inventory.
* Maintaining facilities and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
* Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
What You Have as Required:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Technical training, college coursework, or a degree in a related field is a plus.
* 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (mainline or equivalent) preferred.
* ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain with support).
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and manage multiple repairs.
* Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role (including lifting 50+ lbs).

The Sales Consultant sells/leases new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sells and delivers a minimum number of vehicles per month.
* Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
* Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up systems.
* Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
* Keeps up to date on new products and services within the industry.
* Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
* Maintains a prospect development system.
* Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
* Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
* Approaches, greets, and helps or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
* Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
* Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.
* Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
* Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.

* Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.

* Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
* Follows up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes" and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
* Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
