Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

The following are the roles and responsibilities:
Facilitate in the condition report screening meeting (working meeting with representatives of the major departments)
Back up for facilitating the Management Review Committee (MRC) meeting and preparing the reports (Higher level meeting requiring presentation skills)
Run the MRC reports using excel and Power Bi
Take notes and update excel spreadsheets.
Facilitate by walking through the reports to see if there are any comments.
Run audit reports.
Review causal products.
Potentially conduct a causal evaluation or effectiveness review.
Work will occur in the office, the field on the construction site and will be exposed to the weather when in the field.
Must be well organized and capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong leadership ability to provide professional feedback: effectively and efficiently facilitate meetings and present subject matter in accordance with nuclear programs and procedures. Strong analytical skills - able to systematically analyze a problem, identify the underlying causes and develop alternative solutions.
Physical requirements: Some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged walking, crawling, will be required.
This position requires unescorted access to the protected area of the Nuclear Plant.
