Label and process all specimens accurately, ensuring integrity and timely delivery to the appropriate lab or reference site. Conduct chain-of-custody urine drug screens and breath alcohol testing per policy. Collaborate with nursing teams for therapeutic drug-monitoring collections to align with medication dosing schedules. Resolve unclear or unusual test orders by communicating with providers or supervisors. Maintain par levels of phlebotomy supplies and assist with weekly departmental inventory. Participate in ongoing education, quality improvement, and compliance activities. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Certification: Phlebotomy certification (preferable but not required), In-house training including BLS, Drug Screen Collections (Oral and Urine), and BAT as necessary. Experience: Prior experience in specimen collection or laboratory support strongly preferred. Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record platforms. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 lbs. Frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids; occasional contact with biohazardous materials and chemicals.
