PURPOSE:
Provides supervision and instruction to students seeking a career as an EMT or paramedic. Responsibilities include the design or implementation of a training program for a trade school or college. The training program must meet all qualifications and state regulations for EMT education, preparing students to earn a National Registry of EMTs paramedic certification.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of EMT educational program offerings.
Prepares and delivers instruction either at the EMT Academy or off-site, as needed; supervises the activities of course participants during instructional time.
Evaluates learner performance, provides feedback, and develops learner remediation plans.
Fulfills EMT educational program administrative requirements, to include calculation and submission of grades, maintenance of program, course, and student/participant records, and preparation and submission of data and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Complete an EMS instructor program
• Meet any additional requirements set by Lincoln University
• Be monitored by an affiliate faculty member during your first classroom course
• Provide proof of current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
• Submit fingerprints for a background check
• Provide proof of vaccination for tuberculosis, hepatitis B, MMR, and varicella
• Three years' experience in EMS
• Current Missouri paramedic license
• Current ACLS, PALS, and CPR.
• Preferred: One year EMS or fire teaching experience.
