Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
· Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, HR management, education, organizational psychology, communications, or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
· At least five years of experience in a training or organizational development position.
· Proven experience in training theories and principles, adult learning theory, and established industry models of evaluation.
· Instructional design and training delivery experience to include developing and quantifying the results of training.
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
· Current APTD or CPTD (formerly CPLP) certification, preferred.

Position

The Strategy Intern will work closely with the Claims Strategy team to analyze business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in developing strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in learning how data-driven insights shape operational and organizational decisions, while also contributing to the design of materials that support strategic goals.
After the internship, there is a possibility of a part-time position as an apprentice, depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
As part of our internship cohort, you'll collaborate with fellow interns and departments to learn insurance from many different angles. The program includes weekly paid training sessions on insurance terminology and regular opportunities to share experiences and insights with your cohort.
In addition to these learning opportunities, your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting research and gathering data to support strategic projects and initiatives.
Assisting in analyzing claims trends, operational metrics, and market benchmarks.
Designing and developing content to support implementation of strategic initiatives and process changes.
Creating job aids, guides, and learning resources for internal teams.
Qualifications
Completed sophomore year of college or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
This internship is open to students of all majors who are interested in exploring insurance operations and strategic initiatives.
Pay: $17/hour for internship. Increase to pay for apprenticeship.

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Manager of Underwriting and offers the opportunity for hybrid work (Tuesday through Thursday in-office). Responsibilities

The incumbent manages a book of business for growth, profitability, and retention. The underwriter initiates and handles agent relationships through service calls and occasional in-person visits. The person in this position provides a thorough, documented risk analysis on new and renewal accounts leading to a recommendation on coverage terms and premium.
Qualifications
At least two years of underwriting or similar insurance experience.

Working knowledge of NCCI and state bureau manuals, rules and classifications.
Experience with loss sensitive rating programs.
CPCU, ARM, CIC or similar certifications preferred.

The Rating Configuration Analyst is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and testing rating logic within Ratabase and proprietary rating systems. This is an exempt position that reports to the VP, Product Development. This position is open to internal and external candidates.
The person in this position works out of the WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters or one of the regional offices located in Roseville, CA; Boise, ID; or Denver, CO. Hybrid (office/home) option is available.
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain rating logic in Ratabase for commercial lines products.
Implement ISO circular updates and assist with regulatory rate filings.
Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into rating rules.
Perform unit testing and validation of rating changes.
Document configuration changes and maintain version control.
Support QA and UAT processes for rating updates.
Coordinate with external partners and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of changes.
Assist in troubleshooting rating discrepancies and system issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
At least two years of work experience in insurance rating systems, preferably Ratabase.
Familiarity with commercial lines products (Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Property, Auto).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of property and casualty insurance rating principles and methodologies.
