Pros of working at WE Transport

I like working with kids. So I thought this would be a fun job. The only thing that actually makes it enjoyable is the kids.

Cons of working at WE Transport

I have been here a total of 4 days. The first 3 days there were nit picking baby tattle tail problems. Being new to an organization is hard enough. Your expected to follow certain procedures. It makes very hard when your not told what those procedures are. The 1st day I was parked in a bus drivers spot. No one told me parking assignments. 2nd day someone said I was parked not properly in the parking lot. On the other side of the office. That there wasn't enough space for another vehicle. Untrue. The third day I was informed that the training I was required to come to was unpaid. The fourth day I had been coming in at 6am. Thinking I was getting paid. The clock system wouldn't let me punch into 2 minutes before my run. Come to find out I was supposed to them in the office. That there was no task during punch in at 6 am. I was never told that. My 5th day I came to work asked for a request time off form. I explained I needed the next 2 days off. My dog had major surgery on his hip. I was that they were for the next day. I proceeded to explain that I came in 1/2 a day to at least help out. That next time I would just call in. I had no idea when I let the dog at the surgery office when they were actually preforming the procedure or when he would need to be picked up. I took 1/2 Tuesday. The whole day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He need assistance walking. I come in on my 6th day at 6 am. Only to find out my new assigned run wouldn't be till 7:28 am. So here I sit waiting. I have never worked for an organization that didn't pay for training. Didn't tell about time clock procedures, never informed you of parking spots. They assign a run then you have no idea where the bus is or who the person is. I guess your supposed to have a crystal ball. The topper is that I live 30 minutes away and not have the decent to call and tell me new assigned run.

WE Transport benefits

I have no idea. I haven't been here long enough to know what this does or does not offer. There was absolutely no HR training.

What do you like best about WE Transport's CEO and the leadership team?

I have no idea what the CEO is like. Never met him. The office staff is completely unprofessional. The workers are have a pecking order. They would rather tell the boss. Then take the time to help out a new person.

How would you improve WE Transport's culture?

First off I would pay for the training you require as a company. It's very unfair to expect people to take there time. To come in and not get paid for something that company required. 2nd I would have someone in the office to explain the procedures of the company. Not just the sheets are here. Here is your clock in number this how it works. Where the parking is, where the busses are located. Not have an attitude when someone comes in at least half a day. Things come up. Thirdly just because your mad don't be so unprofessional that you leave some one sitting around for an hour and a half.

How did you prepare for the WE Transport interview?

I filled out an application online. I was hired immediately. Then I reached out to my old employers. Had them all fill out my 3 references. Which were excellent.

How does your compensation at WE Transport compare to the industry average?

Is average given the aggravation it should be more.

What's the diversity at WE Transport like?

There is no diversity if your new.

What brings you the most joy at WE Transport?

Only seeing the kids and playing games on the way to school and home
