Your Development Journey
You'll be enrolled in our 4-year FieldEngineer Technical Development Program, which blends classroom learning with real-world experience:
Year 1: Work with guidance and take part in hands-on training at one of our global centers. Travel may be needed to gain real-world experience
Year 2: Take on more responsibility at the wellsite while continuing to grow your technical skills through hands-on and classroom training
Years 3 & 4: Expanding your knowledge and skills, and may lead teams at the wellsite while serving as the main contact for our clients
Your day-to-day could include:
Prepare, deploy, and operate advanced downhole tools to meet specific wellsite objectives
Utilize cutting-edge simulation software to design and optimize wellsite solutions tailored to client needs
Analyze performance data and recommend improvements
Manage equipment logistics and ensure seamless setup and operation at the rig site
Create detailed post-job reports and share actionable insights with clients and internal teams
Champion a culture of continuous improvement with a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance
Deliver front-line engineering support to our customers throughout operations, resolving issues independently
What We're Looking For
Graduated with bachelor's degree in engineering (all fields) within the last 24 months
No more than 1 year of experience
English language fluent proficiency (written and spoken)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze complex problems, apply critical thinking, and make informed decisions
A passion for hands-on work and learning in dynamic environments (onshore and offshore)
What to Expect
This role is physically and mentally demanding. You'll work 12-hour shifts (day or night), often in tough weather conditions. You may be away from home for extended periods, including weekends and holidays. But if you're up for the challenge, the rewards are big.

Job Description
Routing and design a variety of transmission line projects with project scopes varying from new to rebuilt facilities utilizing Power Line Systems software
Responsible for technical content and deliverables while working with multi-discipline teams under the guidance of the assigned Project Engineer or Manager
Sag tension calculation for transmission tower loading
Structure design and analysis and preparing loading trees
Assist in the development of design criteria and specifications for transmission line design and procurement of materials
Perform peer quality checks
Should be familiar with Transmission industry codes and standards
Assist Engineer of Record in preparing construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation and assembly drawings
Assist Engineer of Record with complex projects and be the lead engineer for smaller projects
Provide construction support for high voltage transmission line projects
Participate and progress the company culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Act as a liaison between Kosmos Group engineering and construction teams by conducting field site visits
Apply engineering principals and technical experience address project issues and recommend solutions

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college
An Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certificate
Minimum 2 years of transmission line design experience
Experience in Power Line System-based programs (i.e., PLS Suite of software including PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, team collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for project support

The FieldEngineer is responsible for providing technical support on location, communicating effectively with internal teams on job progress, challenges, outcomes, and assisting reliability and sustaining groups while on location. The FieldEngineer collects, analyzes, and reports operational and equipment data to optimize performance. The FieldEngineer is responsible for initiating data acquisition recording of all fracturing treatments parameters, monitoring treatment performance, reporting chemical and proppant usage on a per stage basis, assisting in proactively preventing early equipment failures, and ensuring excellent job quality is maintained on site. The FieldEngineer assists with training less experienced engineers and operators and provides leadership on location.
**This position will work a rotational schedule that can include days or nights as well as weekends, and holidays.**
Detailed Description:
All Levels:
Verify bucket test, review all pre-job QA/QC lab testing and ensure all required chemicals and proppant are delivered to location prior to starting the job. Collect oil, water, or chemical samples as needed.
Verify, review and confirm all proposals and completions procedures prior to starting the job.
Provide engineering support for complex jobs (pilot tests, breaker tests, viscosity & X-link checks), perform all pre/during-job required QA/QC testing and discuss results with internal engineering team and on-site customer representative. Document results in OIF.
Present job design, proposals, specifications, pre-job lab test results and procedures to customers on job site.
Setup MDT stream-out and data acquisition software in data van to record and transmit each stage's treatment parameters to the Performance Center prior to starting a stage.
Confirm that all the chemicals needed for the job are on site and that the fleet has the BOLs for each chemical and with proper SDS.
Input sand and chemical volumes into the OIF. Manage chemical variance during job and coordinate chemical transfers between pad moves with supply chain and vendors.
Report all chemical and proppant volumes for each stage in the OIF.
Coordinate with district supply chain and vendors to verify all orders are delivered in a timely manner throughout the job.
Monitor all pump parameters, treating pressure, and rate during treatment and communicate with supervisor and customer representative if there are any problems or concerns.
Address any technical questions or concerns from customers related to reservoirs, fluid systems or software.
Monitor all internal and external deliverables from the Performance Center, ensure quality and provide feedback.
Reconcile all jobs (volumes, billing, inventory) and complete final reporting.
Be knowledgeable on equipment operations, limitations, and components.
Assist with data van rigging up/down and maintain cleanliness in data van and assist field operations with rig-up/down as needed.
Promote HSE values and perform job duties as per NexTier's safety policy and standard operating procedures as well as implement best practices for field operations equipment.

FieldEngineer 2:
Address any technical questions or concerns from customers related to reservoirs, fluid systems or software.

Utilize engineering principles to analyze and interpret data and conduct research to diagnose problems and develop appropriate solutions. Identify areas for improvement to maximize operational efficiencies.
Assist maintenance and engineering with root cause analysis on premature failures.
Utilize Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) and other technologies to improve equipment reliability and proactively detect early failures before they occur.

Additionally, we are one of Alaska's largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2024. Alaska operations contributed 14 percent of our consolidated liquids production and two percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
Willow Overview
Located on Alaska's North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak. During construction, Willow is expected to create around 2,500 jobs, with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create approximately 300 permanent jobs.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility, three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, and supporting infrastructure.

Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities, utilities, drilling equipment, camp, and power generation.
Position Overview
This position serves as the ConocoPhillips Field Health, Safety and Environmental Lead supporting the Alaska Willow project. The role provides technical safety guidance and assistance to ensure a safe working environment that is consistent with HSE policies, procedures, directives, and guidelines.
Location: Alaska North Slope - 2-week on/2-week off rotational schedule.
Reports to: Willow HSE Director
Your responsibilities may include:
* Strong Safety Leadership and a commitment to developing an Incident Free Culture
* Identify safety risks, issues, and mitigation strategies - efficiently communicate to and with Willow Leadership Team
* Participate as required in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and project level risk assessments
* Monitor the HSE requirements to ensure compliance by contractor firms as required
* Participate in internal Project Management Team (PMT) status meetings and coordination meetings with contractor firms
* Assist in evaluating contract scope in compliance with the Contractor HSE Management Policy
* Lead the HSE Readiness process for each contractor
* Review contractor Site Specific HSE Plans and Job Safety Analyses (JSA's)
* Perform pre-construction hazard evaluations
* Conduct or coordinate contractor pre-job safety orientation
* Monitor contractor compliance with regulatory and company safety expectations
* Assist in performance of Contractor HSE Management System audits
* Audit contractor's compliance related to the HSE Readiness Process
* Facilitate incident investigations and First Reports - assure all action items are completed in a timely manner per company policy
* Ensure that incident reports, rates, and incident trends are current and available for review by the project team
* Provide training to project management team on safety processes, policies, directives, and procedures
* Serve as Willow representative during regulatory agency inspections
* Liaise with each contractor's HSE staff in implementation of Willow requirements
* Assist in Predictive Indicator Tool process for each contractor
* Assure action items from self or corporate compliance audits are addressed in a timely manner
* Interact with the medical group, as needed, to properly classify injuries or illnesses
* Consult with other COPA safety professionals to ensure consistent application of health and safety programs
* Provide work direction for contingent HSE Professionals, security and medical staff
* Interact with remote medical clinics to ensure proper care of injuries and illnesses
* Assist or lead, as needed, Taproot incident investigations. Review and approval of final investigation reports
* Review lift plans and make recommendations to Lift Engineer
Basic/Required:
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Current/valid driver's license
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Health, Safety, Business, Social Science or related field or foreign equivalent
* 7 or more years of experience as an HSE professional
* 5 or more years of oil and gas safety and health experience
* Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work in a remote work location on a 2 week on/2 week off work schedule
Preferred:
* Certified Safety Professional
* 10 or more years of experience as an HSE professional
* 10 or more years of HSE experience within the and gas construction industry
