KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Fulfills all required tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure targets are met relating to inventory, delivery, and quality, and achieving all targets to satisfy customer requirements. * Accurately pull and stage material required for work orders and recording all required trace documentation. * Loads all outgoing shipments of material accurately and safely ensuring all material is correctly labeled, packaged, and is loaded on the correct freight carrier. * Assists with unloading all incoming material in accordance with standard operating procedure. * Conducts cycle counts to include counting of inventory, materials, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records, both manually and in computer * Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock investigate and report reasons for any discrepancies. * Tracks the movement of inventory from one location to another within the warehouse and track movement between warehouses. * Maintains clear, concise and detailed records of all counting activities. * Knowledgeable and participate in Year End Physical Inventories. * Assists Inventory Control Specialist with conducting cycle counts to include counting of inventory, materials, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records. * Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and all inventory space neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations * Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met * Practices safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations * Audits outbound shipments for customers to ensure 100% compliance * Analyzes inventory discrepancies by researching variances and identifying root cause by formulating recommendations for improvement of inventory accuracy. * Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE * High School Diploma or Equivalency * 2-5 Years of material handling/inventory experience in a manufacturing environment * Forklift Certification preferred * Basic computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook) * Previous experience working with cycle counting and inventory maintenance * Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment * Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Bending, lifting, stooping, and standing greater than 50% of the time * Repetitive motion demands * Hands/wrist/shoulder. * Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds as needed.     Job DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Bulk Material Handler Reports To: Branch Manager Direct Reports: None Division: H&H Oil Department: Operations Job Type: Hourly FLSA Status: Nonexempt Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Position Summary: The primary function of the Bulk Material Handler will be to load/unload railcars and/or trucks daily. This position will also monitor tank levels and perform transfers of material to the Terminal tanks, daily. When not performing primary duties, the BMH will assist the Logistics Department and the Operations Department as needed. Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions: Use basic tools: pipe wrench, crowbar, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. Calculate levels/volumes in tanks/railcars using basic math. Carry and communicate on a 2-way radio to respond to all calls. Complete all required paperwork with accuracy. Communicate with Logistics Supervisor to ensure paperwork is in order daily. Communicate with other Logistics employees through shift change meetings and by documenting daily actions in the Logbook. Communicate with the terminal operator on tank lineups and gauges prior to loading/offloading/transferring. Check email frequently (at least daily at start of shift) to receive orders and effectively communicate with the Logistics Supervisor. Load and offload railcars, flexi bags, and VGO safely and efficiently, making sure railcars have been accurately gauged, sampled, and temperatures taken. Ensure all railcar inspections are performed correctly for every railcar onsite. Discrepancies/issues should be documented on the Pre/Post inspection sheet and reported to the Logistics Supervisor. Once loading/unloading is complete, make sure railcars are secure (i.e. hatches closed, valves closed) per company policy. Sample incoming trucks per procedure. Monitor incoming trucks bringing in used motor oil, antifreeze, and oily water. Monitor outgoing trucks taking out asphalt, antifreeze, and wastewater. Monitor the loading/unloading operations the entire time the pump is moving product to or from the truck. Responsible for proper handling of containment outfall draining in accordance with SPCC plan. Monitor tank levels and transfer inventory in/out as needed. Perform maintenance, housekeeping, or other activities in the warehouse, truck rack, rail area, and dock area as directed by supervisor. Train relief personnel on railcar unloading operations as needed. Understand basic pump operation: cavitation, seal leaks, vibration, etc. to maintain efficient equipment. Operate a basic pressure washer. Inspect all incoming railcars against DOT regulations (49 CFR 180.509 - Requirements for inspection and test of specification tank cars.) Note: This list is not intended to be all inclusive, other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
