The NDT Inspector is accountable for the quality, cost, and schedule of inspection operations for as-received, work-in-progress (WIP), and final inspections. Inspection scope includes repaired and new make parts for both turbine engine parts and power generation package parts. Reports To: ARM Supervisor Work Location: 6401 North Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041 Position Responsibilities
Receive orders and validate part quantities and completeness of instructions.
Perform dimensional inspection.
Perform Visual Testing (VT), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) / Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)
Perform Eddy current testing (ET)
Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) / Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
Radiographic Testing (RT) / X-Ray
Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on NDT equipment.
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Organize, record, report, and file NDT test results.
Perform other job tasks as assigned by supervision.
Maintain an accurate log of applied hours by NDT discipline to support advancement in certification levels and/or methods.
Pass certification tests in applicable NDT methods to advance skills and position level.
Operate cranes and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
Must have Minimum 3 years performing NDT Inspector work.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and use strong working knowledge of common hand tools.
Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
NDT Certification
Educational background in NDT
