Additional Responsibilities: * Teaches the Vocational Technical Education Framework-Programming and Web Development and AP Computer Science A curriculum and modifies them to different learning styles and student backgrounds. * Teaches occupational skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in their field * Demonstrates occupational materials, equipment, instruments, and processes using standard or teacher-prepared models, mock-ups, sketches, and other instructional aides. * Instructs students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of instruments and equipment * Controls the storage, maintenance and use of materials and properly to prevent loss or abuse * Establishes and maintains standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in an activity-type classroom * Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Principal, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Haverhill School Committee. * Must have strong knowledge and strong understanding of: * Fundamentals of Computer Information Technology * Elements of software development * Programming concepts * Web Development Concepts * Experience teaching AP Computer Science A preferred Qualifications: * Licensed by or eligible to be licensed by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Vocational Technical Teacher: Programming and Web Development, Computer Science and Digital Literacy 9-14. * At least one year of full-time teaching experience preferred. * Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students. * Experience working in an urban setting, preferred. * Experience working with diverse student populations, preferred. * Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent teamwork skills. * Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply. * Proficiency as evidenced through transcripts of undergraduate and/or graduate work in the fields in which candidates apply. This role is critical to the success of the site in driving Trust goals for revenue and donor engagement. The Specialist will update content, optimize donor journeys, and track metrics of site activity. They will work closely with both the channels and content teams, as well as technical teams and vendors, to create content, maintain performance, and optimize the experience for the best possible donor and donor prospect journeys.
