Webb School of Knoxville company history timeline

1965

1965 - The G. Webb Follin Administration Building with Chapel were built

1968

In the 1968 school year, Webb became coeducational and was reorganized into the lower school and the upper school.

1970

1970 - Webb began an official day student program

1993

1993 - The student body moved every book by hand into the beautiful new William Bond Library

2007

In early 2007, Webb's Honor the Tradition, Realize the Vision campaign to renovate and expand the campus began.

2010

2010 - Board of Trustees to pursue a $10 million campaign - "Moving Our Tradition Forward"

2011

2011 - After nearly 50 years Football returns to Webb; school joined 8-Man football League

2012

2012 - Varsity boys' Lacrosse team won the state championship

2012 - Margaret G. Turner House faculty residence construction began at Cooper-Farris Dorm

2013

2013 - Webb partnered with the Middle Tennessee State University Confucius Institute to offer Mandarin Chinese in addition to Latin, French and Spanish

2013 - Football team wins MTAC championship

2016

2016 - Resident Village (Wendel Haynes Hall and Meadows Hall, Dorothy Elkins Student Center) is built.

2016 - The G. Webb Follin, Jr.

In fall 2016, the new pre-kindergarten program began at Webb.

2017

2017 - Former United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was featured in the Follin Speaker Series

2018

2018 - MS Girls' Basketball team won MTAC championship

2018 - Webb's largest class of 67 seniors graduated

2019

2019 - Webb Family Reunion hosted on campus in June to help kick off 150th Anniversary

2019 - Coast-to-Coast Toasts were hosted in various United States and international locations on Sawney Webb's birthday Nov.

2019 - It was announced on Dec.

Also starting in fall of 2019 in the Upper School Learning Commons, meant to serve the same purpose as the Innovation Center, but with added features such as a cafe and possibly virtual reality.

2020 - Class of 2020 graduation was held on campus July 11 following the Governor's directives
