Grad Intern - Operations - Engineering - Remote (Summer 2026)
What You Will Do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. This 13 week remote Graduate internship works with Amgen's Environmental Sustainability Team to access, reduce, and communicate the climate risk associated with a robust global manufacturing and supply chain. This role will involve the use of data science and programming skills to leverage existing models that evaluate the physical and financial risk Amgen may face from climate change across multiple global locations. Key responsibilities include:
Working with expert Engineers to craft, develop, and support engineering projects
Supporting Engineering assessments, technical feasibility, and lifecycle impact

What You Will Do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. During this program, you will [support strategic exploration of artificial intelligence (AI) opportunities within the Access & Evidence Generation ecosystem. This internship will focus on identifying, structuring, and prioritizing AI use cases across real-world evidence (RWE), payer evidence generation, evidence operations, evidence strategic planning and performance management. The intern will conduct a structured assessment of current-state processes and future-state opportunities, developing end-to-end AI use case scenarios and associated business cases. This role is conceptual and strategic in nature and does not require model development or software engineering. It is well suited for a graduate student with strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and interest in applied AI in a regulated life sciences environment].
Assess the current state of Access & Evidence Generation processes, including RWE generation, payer evidence, evidence operations, and strategic planning.
Identify and articulate AI opportunity areas across the evidence lifecycle (e.g., automation, augmentation, decision support, optimization).
Develop end-to-end AI use case scenarios, including: Problem statement and business context, Target users and workflows

Education Minimum Requirement:

As a member of the Advanced Therapies Supply Planning team, the Supply Chain 2026 Summer intern is responsible for partnering with Global Supply Chain colleagues on key initiatives in the material planning function. The Wound Closure & Healing R&D Organization in Raritan, NJ, is recruiting for a Fall 2026 R&D Co-op for assistance in developing our STRATAFIX brand of barbed suture products. Wound Closure & Healing is part of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery organization.
The J&J MedTech Organization, based in Raritan, New Jersey, was founded more than 80 years ago as a pioneer in suture development and manufacturing, helping to transform the safety and effectiveness of open surgery. Our Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) Summer Intern Program is a comprehensive learning and professional experience in the technology space at one of the world's leading health care companies. Purpose: This summer project aims to investigate the utility of perimetry in characterizing the peri-lesional junction in geographic atrophy (GA), with a focus on identifying functional biomarkers of rapid progression. By correlating localized sensitivity loss with structural changes, we hope to refine detection of fast progressors and enhance patient stratification for future GA clinical trials.
You will be responsible for the following deliverables:
* Exploratory dataset correlating perimetric sensitivity with structural imaging at the peri-lesional junction in GA patients, potentially identifying patterns associated with fast progression.
* Prototype analysis tool(s) for visualizing perimetry data or quantifying junctional changes that could be refined for future studies for patient selection or stratification.
* Documentation package detailing data processing steps, analysis tool design, and validation methodology.
* A short report or presentation summarizing findings, methodology, and implications for clinical trial design-especially regarding functional endpoints and patient stratification.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is recruiting for Supplier Management & Operational Excellence (SMOx) Co-op for Summer 2026. The position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey. JJIM provides medicines for an array of health concerns in several therapeutic areas, including Neuroscience, Oncology and Immunology.
JJIM is committed to raising the bar on patient experience (Px), through the Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) organization, an organization that will create more personalized, seamless, and supportive experiences for patients starting treatments across the JJIM portfolio.
Role Overview:
As a member of the SMOx team, you will be an integral part of a team that manages the execution and operations of Patient Support Programs. You will also support therapeutic areas across the NA portfolio to leverage and develop best practices and innovative patient support solutions. In this role, students may be involved in activities such as:
* Program Controls & Compliance: Support the development and deployment of a document management system. This includes managing document (SOPs) updates and approvals (legal, compliance, privacy), cataloging supplier documents (SOPs), training, and compliance monitoring.
* Operational Excellence: Use program analytics, voice of customer, performance dashboards, and monitoring to develop operational insights to improve program and supplier performance; support sharing of best practices across the therapeutic areas; effectively communicate and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure program execution.
For consideration in the SMOx Summer 2026 Co-Op program, you must meet the following requirements:
* Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (F1 or H1B requires sponsorship in future)
* Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework
* Be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or MD degree
* Masters/PhD/MD students must have earned undergraduate degree after May 2025
* For Bachelor level candidates, by start date, must be considered a sophomore or above
* Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) for the full term. June 2026 through December 2026.
Desired Majors:
* Arts & Sciences: i.e. Business Management, Communications, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, Public Health

Required:
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
* Demonstrated agility to learn and adapt, lead change, and work under pressure and maintain a high level of performance

* Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Also, able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred:
* Experience and working knowledge in analytical software (Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
* Knowledge of FDA or regulatory guidance.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
