Technicians who are hired at the Toledo facility are expected to gain skills utilizing a pay and progression system that is based on pay-for-skills. ( $21.40 to start, $24.22 after 1 yr, $29.27 after 3 yr, $32.41 after 4 yr) Hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift.
SUMMARY
Technicians will be expected to operate various production and packaging-related equipment to support plant production. This includes performing the necessary physical activity for purposes of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment on the production lines. Must safely operate essential material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks) and possess knowledge of basic hand tools including wrenches, pliers, hammers, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Produce high-quality products in a safe manner.
Must be available to work any shift, weekends and overtime as needed.
Maintain a good attendance record
Flow to work in all areas of production and packaging.
Operate a computer to input and review data for the purpose of maintaining accurate records.
Ability to work as part of a team and assist others as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High-school degree or equivalent
Minimum age of 18
Two years of manufacturing experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's and general instructions. Good communication skills are required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out both oral and written instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and duties of this job.
Employee is regularly required to stand and lift.
Employee is required to stand and walk at a minimum 70% of the time.
Employee must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
Employees must occasionally lift/push/pull or carry up to fifty (50) pounds and should be able to lift 30-35 pounds on a frequent basis.
