Pros of working at Wegmans Food Markets

Extremely friendly staff,amazing benefits with pay increases every 6 months. Opportunities to work at higher levels. Sunday work was time and a half pay.Always provides a food or digital coupon for staying safe on the job or just an incentive to appreciate our customer service.

What do you like best about Wegmans Food Markets's CEO and the leadership team?

Always trying to improve ingredients to make Wegmans brand food be healthy and free of chemicals. Giving back to our communities.

How would you improve Wegmans Food Markets's culture?

I would only say that communication is key and some things can be handled within the department. HR is extremely important,but not everything needs to get to that level. We are all adults and can work through things together within the department.

How did you prepare for the Wegmans Food Markets interview?

Honestly…I didn’t. I had been out of the workforce for 15 years to raise 3 beautiful daughters. I was just myself.

How does your compensation at Wegmans Food Markets compare to the industry average?

What brings you the most joy at Wegmans Food Markets?

Customer service was my favorite part. I established a great relationship with the regulars. Trained so many people to do the best job they could and feel appreciated and respected. Positive feedback and communication.

The Wegmans family does very good work in any market that their stores are located in the CEO is very understanding very knowledgeable and is probably one of the best ones in the country

Nothing just came in dressed well with a résumé set straight up shoulders back and looked them square in the eyes when they talk to me

They are understanding of mental illnesses and try to help their employees as best as they can.

Cons of working at Wegmans Food Markets

The place is toxic. Management expects way too much from employees while cutting hours and how many workers are on at once. Also management has far too high expectations. Part time employees get no benefits at all. And you get very very little hours and it's worse when they cut those hours. They let workers get away with everything and never discipline or fire when they really should. Overall a bad place to work if you're only part time.
