Job Description: Our Prepared Foods department offers customers healthy, affordable meal solutions throughout the entire day. You will prioritize the work of others to ensure great tasting prepared foods are available for customers to enjoy, while educating our customers about the exceptional products we offer. Proactively approach customers, weigh and package prepared items as requested, and offer suggestions for meal solutions Follow Wegmans core recipes, job aids, production lists, and proper knife skills to prep ingredients and ensure a quality and consistent outcome Understand how products look/taste at peak of perfection, ensure use core recipes and techniques to provide a consistent and quality outcome Assist in ordering and inventory processes, utilizing ordering guides to help control inventory and shrink Assist in coordinating the activities of team members, ensure tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently, and department runs smoothly Required Qualifications Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting Preferred Qualifications Food preparation experience
