The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. * Configure and onboard teams to dynamic scanning tools across CI/CD environments. To include the management of authentication and integration of DAST scanners with target applications and platforms.

* Ensure the proper implementation, coverage, and function of the application security solutions.

Qualifications

Attain and maintain demonstrated understanding and proficiency in the use of first responder detection equipment (GFE) to include atmospheric air monitoring systems, radiological detectors, and chemical and biological detection systems. Technologies may include FTIR, RAMAN, PCR, Electrochemical cells.
Conduct field sample analysis of unknown or suspicious substances found within the confines of the Mail Facility to detect potential / presumptive Toxic Industrial Materials and Chemicals (TIM / TIC), Biological and Chemical Agents. Radiological sources and toxic gases or vapors.
Safely isolate and secure pouch safety or security violation items and suspicious letter mail. Conduct physical inspection, inventory and provide accurate documentation (to include photographing) of findings on generated incident reports.

The Security Specialist Journeyman level independently supports Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security administration. The Journeyman Level Security Specialist performs security and administrative management of assigned SCI and SAP. The Journeyman Security Specialist considers all aspects of security, to include personnel security, physical security, operations security, communications security, and associated oversight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Journeyman Security Specialist shall provide daily support to the appointed Special Security Representative (SSR) or Government SAP Security officer (GSSO) to fully implement all applicable enhanced security policies and procedures.
The Journeyman SS shall perform Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to facility security procedures, including but not limited to customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers. The Journeyman SS shall monitor and control access to facility(s) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, Common Access Cards (CAC) and validating security clearances utilizing DISS or other security database systems and visit requests.
