The Technical Adjunct Instructor provides quality classroom instruction, maintains required scholastic records, and seeks continuous improvement of the curriculum, instruction, and use of resources. The Instructor will be assigned to teach at varied times and locations based on student demand; day, evening, or weekend in Alexander City, Childersburg, Talladega, Prattville, or at other sites in the traditional classroom or via distance learning. SALARY: Technical adjunct instructors are paid a rate per contact hour taught when the class meets the minimum enrollment requirements. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be compensated on a pro rata basis or cancelled at the discretion of the college. Collaborates with Divisional Chair regarding the recommendation and development of instructional semester schedule. 10. Collaborates with Divisional Chair regarding the recommendation and development of distance learning courses and/or Web based courses. 11. Maintains appropriate office hours in accordance with college policy. 12. Voluntarily serves on divisional and institutional committees or as recommended by the Dean. 13. Actively participates in their own professional development as well as participates in local and statewide professional development activities/events. 14. Assists with the preparation and submission of departmental budgets and requisitions for all purchases in accordance with all college and state policies. 15. Possesses and maintains the ability to travel to all campuses, meetings, and educational offerings as required. 16.
