Two Shifts available 1st: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday 2nd: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday (4 x 10's) The Welder IV plays a critical role in executing precision welding tasks by interpreting work orders and planning procedures, tools, and materials. This position ensures equipment readiness through minor maintenance and diligent care of tools. By consistently adhering to safety protocols and maintaining reliable attendance, the Welder IV supports operational efficiency and contributes to a safe, productive work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements. Perform minor maintenance on equipment. Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment. Observe and practice safety procedures and policies. Other duties as required. Understanding of the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, tapes, etc. Qualified to read blueprints. Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Subject completed welding tasks to the appropriate inspections. Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes. Must have experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols. Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test. Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules, and dial calipers). Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations. Knowledge of welding machines and setup. Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders. 1 in Arizona, this is considered a Safety Sensitive position Educational/Certification Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent experience. Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience. Work Experience: 4+ years of experience in welding. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. It is subject to frequent interruptions. Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers to type. Close vision required. Environmental Exposure: The worker has protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals. May involve exposure to a noise hazard area.
