    Job Description Posting Name: Welder 1 Schedule: M - T, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM is located at our Bayou La Batre, AL facility. Join the Birdon team and help ensure USCG boats are safe and reliable! Our Welders are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include: Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to set up own equipment, tack, distribute heat evenly with a clean bead. Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Mock Weld Test. Possess strong attention to detail in order to aid strong quality assurance program. Excellent math skills with the ability to read a tape measure accurately. Must be able to weld aluminum and carbon steel proficiently. Ability to fix a defected weld. Must be able to weld in any position (uphill, horizontal, vertical, or flat) If you have at least 3 years' experience as a Welder, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine or manufacturing industry, we want to talk to you!
