As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating metal components and performing quality checks on finished products. You will also be required to set up, operate and maintain fabricating machines, while adhering to safety standards. To ensure success as a Brake Press Operator, you should have advanced knowledge of industrial metal work, a good eye for detail and excellent mathematical skills. Duties and Responsibilities include: Reading and understanding blueprints and work instructions and ensuring that all requirements and specifications are met. Verifying dimensions and product specifications using various quality tools. Operating various fabrication equipment and machinery to complete parts, and ensuring all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in. Testing and inspecting parts to ensure functionality and quality, and troubleshooting products where appropriate to avoid problems or recalls. Maintaining production schedule, and reporting and detailing product work instructions. Ensuring quality control standards are met and adhering to safety rules and regulations at all times.
