Responsibilities Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies Weld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks Construct structural components from raw materials Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed Certified in TIG and MIG welding Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assigned Skills Ability to use hand and power tools Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers.
