What You Can Expect Working in the Welder Position
A Welder I is responsible for the welding and final installation of steel components in the production of residential and commercial storm shelters, engineered metal buildings, and other industrial buildings. In this role, you will be required to work with cranes, jigs, torches, plasma, hand tools, and welding machines on a continual basis as well as meeting RGDS Quality Standards. As a Welder, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structures' goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities
Proficiently welds components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
Prepares and sets up materials for welding, including using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Operates welding equipment, including power tools and material handling equipment like overhead cranes

A Welder I is responsible for the welding and final installation of steel components in the production of residential and commercial storm shelters, engineered metal buildings, and other industrial buildings. Must have own welding hood, basic hand tools, and PPE
Willingness to travel to Georgia and work overtime as needed
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or on a team
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified welder (AWS or other recognized certs)
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Prior experience with traveling crews or per diem projects
Comfortable working outdoors or in industrial conditions
