This employee will perform in the field and as necessary in the shop. Currently travel up to 25% of time and will work some non-local jobs for 3-week period time frames. Qualifications Must have experience with PIPE welding. This position is responsible for any fabrication necessary and on time production of parts. This position includes GMAW, MIG welding, grinding panels, fitting pipes and tightening them, cutting different materials on different machines and processes, and maintaining the upkeep as necessary on welding equipment. This is a shop-based role focused on layout, fit-up, and MIG welding of structural and mechanical components. This is not a millwright position. No field installation, alignment, or machinery teardown work is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * Fabricates bases and mounts the pump, motor, and drives to those bases. * Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on carbon steel and related materials * Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and schematics * Use shop tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and measuring equipment * Layout, fit, and assemble frames, skids, supports, piping components, and brackets * Verify dimensions and fit-up prior to welding * Produce welds that meet visual and dimensional requirements * Maintains and service welding equipment. * Keeps work area safe and clean and adheres to Company safety rules and policies. * Follow shop safety procedures and welding best practices * Communicate with supervisors or engineering when drawings or fit-up issues arise * Other duties as assigned by management.
