Job Description:
Position Overview:
+ Plan and perform arc and acetylene welding, brazing, soldering, silver soldering, and cutting on a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
+ Fabricate various parts or tools from blueprints or design and make from a verbal description or rough sketch.
+ Maintain a stock of welding supplies and requisition when needed.
+ Assist in the installation and repair of equipment and systems as required.
+ Maintain a current state issued welding certificate.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment.

HOURS: Fridays 6:30am - 5:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am - 3:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welding products according to work instructions and ensure compliance with the appropriate quality standards
Monitor welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged from warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
Deliver daily production output demands and communicate timely with the appropriate personnel on any problems or delays
Assist at a variety of workstations throughout the work process as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous welding knowledge accompanied by the appropriate education
Understand and apply written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate
Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:
This work is deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedule, and flexibility within the workday
Requires the ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perception
Requires working and interacting with others and the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused work
The following motions can be required during the day: Standing for extended periods of time, stepping up & down, balancing, bending (hip & knees), reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting (from floor to waist, waist to chest, chest to head), observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actions
Requires continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles, the ability to lift 25lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks as deemed necessary
This work requires the proper attire and use of PPE which can include eyewear, steel toed protection, hard hat, gloves, earbuds, and other PPE as deemed necessary
Work with and/or around potentially dangerous equipment
This position requires working with various temperature conditions
ATTENDANCE BONUS:
IMMI's weekend shift team members earn an $100 bonus for each weekend that they achieve perfect attendance. Perfect attendance is defined as clocking in and out on time on both Friday and Saturday and working the duration of the shift.

Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Towers & Structures Indiana is seeking qualified applicants for the position of FitterWelder. The role of a FitterWelder serves a vital part within the facility's production team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Welding structural steel parts as specified per drawing or print.
Safely produce a quality product
Maintaining housekeeping
Obtain and maintain all welding certifications.
Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
Willing to work swing shifts
The fitterwelder will be an integral member of the Nucor Towers & Structure team who brings a strong and consistent work ethic, demonstrates the attention to detail needed to ensure that the material is being sent with the quality that the customers expect from Nucor, and exhibits good communication skills that will enable them to coordinate with other departments. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a group and be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. To ensure the success of the Nucor Towers & Structures team, safety must be at the forefront of each duty that is performed by each teammate.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing/production environment experience
Experience with reading different measuring devices: tape measure, gauges, micrometers
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of weld symbols and weld defects
Ability to pass a 3G Weld Test within 30 days of hire
Knowledge or utilization of air arc gouging and plasma torch
Ability to operate a crane (Standard Overhead Crane)
