GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
A Welder/Fitter is required to safely prepare various alloys for fabrication processing, welding, and fitting. The Welder/Fitter is an individual contributor that requires little or no supervisory assistance and possess working knowledge of welding and fabrication technology and applications.
Additionally, the Welder/Fitter will lead and engage RVII to achieve all assigned manufacturing goals: Safety (no one gets hurt), Quality (free of defect), On-Time Delivery (meet customer delivery dates), Budget (at or below estimated hours) and People (develop & retain “hungry, humble and smart” leaders).
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
Read measuring devices such as a tape measure to 1/64”
• Follow verbal and written directions such as work order or drawings
• Daily use of grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts
• May occasionally perform x-ray quality welds that are code compliant
• Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documents
• Safely setup and adjust welding machine and plasma cutting parameters
• Read and interpret blueprints ASME code and AWS weld symbology
• Layout and fit products as directed by drawing or process sheet
• Create fixtures to safely hold part while being welded or cut
• Perform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT) as needed
• Understand tolerances and general quality control principles and applications
• Knowledge of welding principals and methods including but not limited to: SAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
• 5+ years welding/fitting experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels
• Welding with multiple processes in multiple positions as required
EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
• Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
• Formal training in Welding Technology or 3+ years of practical welding & fabrication experience.

Position Overview
JGM is seeking an experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join our team at our heavy industrial steel fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the structural steel industry, preferably within an AISC-certified environment. This position requires the ability to efficiently and precisely fit and fabricate structural steel components to industry specifications. Responsibilities
Interpret and execute shop drawings and specifications for structural steel fabrication.
Perform precise layout and fitting of parts per drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
Verify layout accuracy for other fabricators and provide guidance as necessary.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including air carbon arc gouging, grinders, cutting torches, and welding tractors, with proficiency.
Pre-heat and prepare materials as required to meet welding and fabrication standards.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking personnel for our mechanical trades with experience in Millwrighting & Welding based out of our Blandon, PA Office. Our work includes moving machinery, complete facility relocation, plant maintenance, field fabrication, piping disconnects and reconnects, and installation of various material handling systems.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Use instruments for precise layout.
Perform rigging work including jacking, skating, heavy forklift operation and loading/unloading trucks.

Fabricate tubing, piping and hose assemblies using hand held and bench mounted equipment
Drill and tap holes using hand held and bench mounted power tools
Weld carbon steel and stainless steel plates and piping
Assist in testing all manufactured assemblies
Paint all manufactured assemblies

Job Description
Position Summary & Objective
The Field Service Millwright Welder serves as the mechanical/ welding labor on-site during a Field service project. Follows the direction from the site superintendent for hydro turbine and generator disassembly, field machining, reassembly and alignment activities as assigned. Must be proficient in the use of reading of precision measurement equipment.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
* Development of personal capabilities/ knowledge surrounding hydro turbine field service
* Complete personal expense reports weekly as required
* Completes and submits project documentation per the contract requirements as directed by the site superintendent (FSR)
* Satisfies Quality, Safety, and Environmental requirements as it relates to these tasks
* Perform field welding as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Maintain Welding Certifications/ Qualifications
* Ability to learn new technologies and practices.
* Ability to set up machine tools and dismantle them after job is completed.
* Experience with hand tools
* Ability to understand/ interpret blueprints, mathematical skills, and calculating exact dimensions.
* Knowledge and disposition to inspect materials.
* Ability to respect safety guidelines and procedures.
* Maintain clean workspaces and follow directions accurately.
* Time-management skills
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
* Associate degree with one to two years related experience
* High school diploma with 5 years millwright or similar experience
Licenses or Certifications Required
* Must have a valid driver's license
* Journeyman Welder Credentials is a plus but not required
